Samsung Epic 4G Touch Vs. Motorola Droid Bionic: A Battle Of 4G LTE Phones
The Samsung Epic 4G Touch is known as the Samsung Galaxy S II or the Samsung Within that is scheduled to land on Sprint on September 16. According to phonearena.com, the first Galaxy S II variant that is hitting U.S. will be offered at $ 199.99 after 2 year contract.
What makes it interesting is that the device will comes with a large 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and 1.2GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor under the hood. So, the display is slightly wider than 4.3-inch display on the original Galaxy S II. It will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread flavored with the Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
The Motorola Droid Bionic, meanwhile, has been appeared on the net since nine months ago. The Bionic that has just been released this week is different with the device of nine month ago. Now, it comes with more streamlined and sleek design as well as with some improvements like Froyo OS that is bumped up to Android 2.3 Gingerbread and 4G LTE support.
Therefore, it is interesting to compare the Samsung Epic 4G Touch a.k.a Sprint’s SGS II Vs. the new Motorola Droid Bionic to know which one will stand a chance against the competitors:

You can view the table above that both Samsung Epic 4G Touch and Motorola Droid Bionic share almost the same specs. Both run on the same OS, dual core processor (the Epic 4G has 1.2GHz while the Bionic sports 1GHz) and camera. For the display, the Epic 4G Touch has a wider 4.52-inch display than 4.3-inch display but the display quality is not too much different.
Speaking of form factor, the Epic 4G Touch is a bit thinner and lighter at 10mm and 129 g respectively while the Droid Bionic measures 10.9mm thick and weighs 159 g.
Bottom Line
It is difficult to say which one is the better since the two devices comes with almost the same features. But to remind you, the Galaxy S II that has been released outside stateside hit the company’s sales record of reaching more than 3 millions units sold within 55 days. However, we still don’t know how the American’s response but we think that the two phones are worth for your attentions… What do you think.?
