Google Nexus S 4G Hands-On And Release Date
From the name, we immediately known that the Google Nexus S 4G is the successor of the Nexus S. So, it is not strange that the design of both handsets looks similar. Both have the same display, same rear cover and hardware buttons. The different is “Sprint” logo that sits on the lock screen.
Like the Nexus S, the handset also runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and boasts a 4″ Super AMOLED Contour display with 480×800 pixels and 5MP camera with LED Flash. Unfortunately, the phone is powered by only a 1GHz Hummingbird processor while most of today’s smartphones have been already powered by dual-core.
The most appealing from the Nexus S’s features are the Sprint 4G network and Google voice integration. With its integration with the Google Voice, the users are able to easily use their current Sprint wireless phone number as their Google Voice number without having to port their number, avoiding porting charges and potential service disruptions. Needless to say, the feature is very useful for users to manage and access most of their voice-based communication.

Besides, the Nexus S 4G supports for Sprint WiMAX 4G and CDMA2000-EVDO Rev.A instead of GSM/UMTS like in its younger cousin.
Google Nexus S 4G release date: The phone will hits all Sprint retail outlets in May 8, for $200 on 2 year contract (last update: April 27).
